What is the Collection Space?

The Collection Space is a free web application for both the casual and serious collector to create an online personal showcase for their collection. Purposefully built with no message boards or forums, the Collection Space allows users to share their collection images as they see fit on the sites they already frequent. With unlimited upload capability and easy organization, your collection is always at your fingertips. The Collection Space is free to use and free to browse. How do I create my Collection Space?

Once you have registered and accepted our terms of use, you will automatically be logged into your own Collection Space. Under the My Page tab, you will find an intuitive interface, which allows for the creation, inline editing and uploading of your items.

How do I properly organize my collection?

The Collection Space is designed to allow you to create one entry per item. Once that item is created, multiple pictures can be added to that item; displaying other views, angles of interest, etc. Every picture has the ability to have its own caption/description. This method of organization is recommended for optimal organization of your collection.NOTE Taggging items is VERY important on the Collection Space. Please be certain to use as many specific terms as necessary for the item you are entering. (ie: antique, spanish, wooden etc)

What is the online/offline button for?

There is an online/offline button located at the top of each collection. This button lets you take your collection offline and out of the search parameters, so you can make changes to the collection. There is also an online/offline button next to each item as well.

What is the camera icon for?

If your collection is selected to be featured on our homepage, our database will rotate your favorite items, signified by selecting the camera icon. An orange camera icon signifies the item is chosen. There is no maximum number of images you can select.

Where do I put pictures featuring multiple items?

There are two tabs, collection shots and items. Collection shots are for those group pictures of your collection, and the items tab are for the single entries(multiple images of the same item can be added here.

I have added pictures to my collection, but it does not show up in search results. Why?

We have designed the site to recognize collections as 3(three) items or more. Collections with under 3 items may still be entered, however they will not be viewable to the public until 3 or more items are entered.

I have entered a collection(collection items), and have more that 5 items, and they are still not viewable. Why?

Collections and collection items WITHOUT pictures are excluded from the search results and will only become visible once pictures are associated with the items. This is done so we can ensure proper search results.

How much does it cost to use the Collection Space?

The Collection Space is offered as a free service. Registration is required however in order to create your own collection space. Future add on packages may become available for a fee.

How do I share my Collection?

You are allowed to share your collection as you wish. Pictures, links and other aspects of your collection may be used on other web sites, including message boards and forums.

Can I use my collection photos at other websites?

YES! Your photos can be used as you wish.

What size photos can I use?

Photos uploaded must be a minimum of 800px wide, with a suggested size of 800x800px. Maximum 1200px x 1200px.

How many photos can I upload?

There are no limits to the amount of items, OR the amount of pictures of each item. You are welcome to showcase as many angles/interesting views of your item.

What are the prohibited items?

The Collection Space will not tolerate pictures or descriptions depicting violence, nudity or profanity. If you have a question regarding the content of your collection, or content of someone else’s collection, please contact us immediately.

Is my personal information private?

You have the option to display as much or as little of your personal information as you want. There are options under the profile tab in my page which will allow you to make your information public or private.

Can I use the Collection Space to facilitate trades or sales?

The Collection Space can be used to facilitate trades, or sales, however The Collection space assumes NO liability for such actions. All such communication and transactions are left to the sole discretion of the users.
